Workshop
- We Can Get There: Improving Accessibility and Creating Inclusive Cities Worldwide (co-sponsored by ABE60), Convention Center, 152B, Workshop, Sheila Mitra-Sarkar, Future Trans, and Martine Micozzi, Global Impacts, LLC, presiding. The new global urbanization agenda, as per United Nations, promotes inclusivity for all urban dwellers. This workshop is designed to bring together experts from academia, industry, government and non-profit sector gathered at the TRB Annual Meeting to explore major accessibility and inclusivity issues in modern urban environments. The goal of the workshop is to emphasize the essential role of transportation services and programs towards creating inclusive cities. The workshop will use deep-dive methods and breakout group sessions to identify, frame and brainstorm the ideas for creating urban systems that improve access to opportunities for all transportation users.
