About TRANSED Conference
TRANSED is the International Conference on Mobility and Transport for Older Adults and People with Disabilities. Held every two or three years, TRANSED series of conferences are milestone events in the field of accessible transportation, attracting researchers, policymakers, transport operators, consumers and other specialists from around the world to share innovations and best practices in order to make transportation and mobility accessible to everyone.

Since 1986, the conferences have been organized by host nations/organizations under the auspices of the then International Activities Subcommittee, ABE 60(1) of the Committee on Accessible Transportation and Mobility (ABE 60) of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academics, USA (TRB).
This Committee (now changed as AME 50) contains representatives from the organizations that have hosted the previous conferences among transport sector experts, practitioners, academicians and volunteers. It now acts as a co-sponsor for all future TRANSED Conferences. The role of the Committee is to provide support, advice and guidance on procedural and organizational aspects of the conference.
