Committee Announcement:
TRANSED 2021 Postponed to 2022

Our conference planning team has been busy collaborating with TRB staff, Bill Anderson and Gary Jenkins, to identify a date and venue for the 2021 conference. As you can imagine, COVID-19 has created great uncertainty in travel and conference logistics. We also don’t know how long this uncertainty will last.

Conference planning takes about two years, and with a condensed time schedule and global public health crisis, we have decided that there are too many unknowns to try to arrange the event for 2021. Instead, we will delay the conference by one year, to 2022, with the expectation that the additional planning time will enable us to have a more robust and meaningful conference program. We will make use of this additional time to listen to the ideas and perspectives of committee members and friends so TRANSED 2022 can truly build capacity and knowledge in the field of accessible mobility and transportation. If you are interested in supporting conference planning, please contact Judy Shanley or Janett Jimenez, our TRANSED 2022 Conference leads.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued engagement in our committee activities. We wish you good health, and look forward to your participation in the planning process for a successful TRANSED 2022!
